SFA issues advisory to contain coronavirus spread

KARACHI: Sindh Food Authority (SFA) on Tuesday issued an advisory for the eateries across the province, directing them to arrange face masks, hand sanitizers/soaps and dryers for their employees.

According to the advisory, the chef and the person supplying the food items must use gloves during working hours.

The measure, the SFA said, has been taken in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus that has already infected some 194 people in Pakistan.

The advisory stated that any employee suffering from flu, cough, fever or any other symptoms should inform their supervisor, adding that entry/exit doors, food counters and other places should be sprayed with anti-germ spray.

It further stated that in case of any emergency, the concerned person should immediately approach the government for medical assistance.
