LAHORE: A number of flights were either delayed or canceled due to bad weather on Monday.
A spokesman for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said PK-8451 and PK-8452 were canceled due to bad weather in Skardu while PIA flights from Madina to Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi and Islamabad were delayed due to the dense fog in central Punjab.
The flight from Madina to Multan (PK-716) faced a delay of 11 hours while PK-718 from Madina to Faisalabad was delayed for 12 hours. Another flight from Madina to Lahore (PK-748) was delayed for nine hours.
The spokesman further said PK-744 from Madina to Karachi was delayed for 12 hours and PK-714 from Madina to Islamabad for eight hours.
Passengers have been asked to check flight schedules before leaving for airports.
