We love our country for many reasons and we are proud to be a part of this nation. I never knew I had another reason to be delightedly proud of my country until I visited Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). I would have never imagined that place to be so comfortable and home like which we apparently see as a hospital. From the entry gate to the reception counter, from nurses to doctors, every single person was extremely welcoming and generous. I happened to visit SKMCH&RC with my friend with the purpose of volunteer work and instantly fell in awe with the place. It was clean, well-organised and structured. Everything seemed to function with a perfect mechanism and yet so effortlessly. We engaged with a few patients and they were hundred percent satisfied with their treatments and the facilities they were being provided with. They were happy with each and every thing and there was not a single person who had complaint which makes the hospital one of the best cancer hospitals across the country.

We closely witnessed the underprivileged people who were getting the most advanced and high-quality treatments which are fully sponsored by the hospital. Those people had not faced any discrimination in the conduct and treatment as well. The hospital is the best institution in terms of all quality variables and most importantly it is a vision of a leader which makes it the leading welfare cancer hospital in the region.

Since this Hospital has completed 25 year of serving humanity on December 29th, I would like to congratulate all doctors, nurses, staff, management and everyone who supported this cause and make the nation proud to have such world-class cancer treatment facility in the country.
