KARACHI: An alleged terrorist was killed by Karachi police while two others were injured and arrested after “exchange of fire” with law enforcement agencies here on Saturday morning.
According to Rangers spokesperson, Rangers and police conducted a joint operation in Mangophir area on a tip-off. The alleged terrorist died in the ensuing encounter while two of his accomplices sustained serious injuries.
The deceased was identified as Abdullah Mehsud while the names of those detained were Sherullah and Sohail.
The injured suspects were taken to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where hospital sources said that Sohail who had sustained bullet wounds on his face and leg, was aged around 15 years while Shairullah was injured on his right hand.
The Rangers spokesperson described Mehsud as a “noted target killer”.
According to the Rangers, Mehsud was the leader of a gang involved in heinous crimes in Sohrab Goth, Jinjar Goth, Gulshan-i-Maymar, New Karachi, Manghopir, Superhighway and Subzi Mandi.
