Hamza’s remand extended for two weeks

LAHORE: An accountability court on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz in an ongoing case pertaining to the accumulation of assets beyond means.

At the outset of the hearing, Accountability Judge Chaudhry Ameer Khan, who presided over the proceeding, asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor regarding the status of a formal reference against the accused.

To which, the prosecutor replied that the reference was in a relay and required approval from the NAB chief.

Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing until Nov 13.
