KARACHI: A coal miner died due to the accumulation of gas in a coal mine at Lease area of Mach on Saturday.
According to Levies, the incident occurred in Raza Khan Lease area of Mach, where a coalminer Shaista Khan son of Saadullah, a citizen of Afghanistan, died due to smoke suffocation.
Coalminers retrieved the dead body on a self-help basis and rushed to Civil Hospital Mach from where it was later sent to Afghanistan after completion of necessary medico-legal formalities.
Such deadly incidents are common in mines of Balochistan due to lack of safety measures.
