NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A husband pushed his wife into Nusrat Canal near Darya Khan Marri on Thursday.
Shahzad, son of Sher Ahmed, a resident of village Chethro, pushed his wife Samina into Nusrat Canal near Darya Khan Marri in district Naushehro Feroze. However, a driver and local people saved him.
In a swift action, Darya Khan Marri police arrested accused Shehzad. The woman was shifted to Paddidan hospital for treatment.
The couple had married a week ago. Shehzad had accused his wife of having bad character and tried to kill her; however, further investigation was underway, the police said.
