GUJRANWALA: A woman here on Tuesday suffered severe burn wounds as her husband set her on fire for refusing to work as a prostitute.
According to the details, the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Dhale police station.
According to the victim, her husband set her on fire after dousing her in naphtha. She told that she was married seven years ago and that the couple has two children together.
She is currently being treated at Lahore Hospital where she is in a critical state with the burn wounds extending to her face.
The police registered an FIR against the victim’s husband who is on the run and is looking for him.
