SHC seeks reply on whereabouts of citizen

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday sought a reply from Sindh Rangers Director General (DG), Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP), Malir Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and Shah Latif Town Station House Officer (SHO) till January 23 on a plea pertaining to the whereabouts of a citizen, Sattar Baloch.

The petitioner told the court that the police, in an encounter case, had declared Sattar Baloch a proclaimed offender but on another hand, a piece of news pertaining his arrest during an operation against Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Malir was published in the print media.

He also submitted a newspaper copy dated September 11 in which the news was published.
