Hearing of govt appeal against PM Imran’s acquittal in SSP torture case on Friday

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday fixed for the hearing of the government’s appeal plea against the acquittal of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in the senior superintendent of police (SSP) torture case on November 30.

The IHC bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani will hear the appeal plea on Friday.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had acquitted Imran Khan on May 4 in the SSP torture case but the former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government had challenged his acquittal on May 16.
