More than 120 Pakistani pilgrims stranded at Baghdad airport seek govt help

More than 120 Pakistani pilgrims were left stranded at an airport in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Tuesday night.

The tour head organising the trip dissappeared with the passports of the pilgrims, causing the them to miss their flight back home, reports suggest.

Passports were only returned to them over three hours after the flight had already departed.

Assistance has been requested from the Pakistani government and its embassy in the Iraqi capital to help them return.
