ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court (SC) seeking the inclusion of Aasia Bibi’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Hafiz Ethasim Ahmed has filed the petition in which the Interior Ministry, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the government of Punjab have been made a party.
He viewed in the submitted application that the “foreign powers”, especially Europe, were in favor of the early release of Aasia Bibi from jail and after the release, she was likely going to travel aboard, so her name should put on the no-fly list.
The petitioner also appealed that the court should confiscate Aasia’s passport.
