In yet another incident of sexual assault, a reportedly mentally-challenged minor girl has been raped in the Raiwind area of Lahore.
The father of the victim, Shahbaz Ali lodged a complaint to the police, in which he said that he was a labourer and on the day of the incident he was at work.
According to a local media report, the daughter, who Shahbaz said was mentally-challenged had to go to a shop to get daily use items around 11:00 AM.
Furthermore, it was reported that the family members started a lookout as the daughter did not return for a long time. Upon her arrival, the victim “did not say anything, not even to her mother”.
However, after Ali returned, the victim’s mother told Ali that “a labourer had taken their daughter to an under-construction building and sexually assaulted her”.
Police have registered an FIR against an unidentified suspect, conducted the medical examinations of the victim and were investigating the matter further.
