At least two people were injured on Thursday after eight coaches of Khushal Khan Khattak Express accidentally derailed near Sehwan, a private media outlet reported.

The train was en route from Karachi to Peshawar. In total, more than 10 other coaches were also affected in the mishap.

As a result of the incident, rail traffic travelling to Karachi was suspended near Sehwan. Railway officials said it would take 10 to 12 hours to clear the track.

Earlier this month, 20 people were injured when the same train derailed near Mianwali.

Railways spokesperson confirmed that no deaths were reported. The injured were immediately given medical facilities.
