KARACHI: Sindh local government (LG) secretary on Monday cancelled the promotion of 11 Hyderabad Municipal Cooperation (HMC) officials who were promoted to office superintendent from lari driver, legal advisor (Bs-18) from junior clerk/typist (BS-05), prosecuting officer (BS-17) from raedar (BS-05), chief fire officer (BS-17) from octori clerk (BS-05), urban rehabilitation inspector (Bs-11) from mahli (Bs-01).
The document stated that the promotion of the following officers of HMC was made in violation of rules and hereby cancelled and they stand reverted to their original posts with immediate effect.
The officials are Zafar S/o Abdul Waheed, Rafique Ahmed Rajput, Abdul Waheed Rajput, Mukaram Khan S/o Abdul Jabbar, Altaf baif S/o Islam Baig, Muhammad Younis, Aqeel Ahmed, Arif Ali, Raees Ahmed, Salahuddin and Abdul Muqeem.
These promotions were cancelled on the instruction of Supreme Court as the letter stated,“In compliance of orders received through Registrar Judicial commission (Water Commission) dated 5/7/2018 and on the recommendation of inquiry report submitted by Additional secretary (admin) irrigation department and in light of minutes of the meeting held on 29/8/2018 under the chairmanship of commissioner, Hyderabad division and in compliance of Supreme Court orders passed in criminal original petition.”
Earlier these were working as Lari driver, Junior clerk, Naib Qasid, Junior Clerk/typist (BS-05), Taedar (BS-05), Octori clerk (BS-05), senior clerk (BS-06), Naib Qasid (BS-01), Mahli (Bs-01), Octori clerk (BS-05) and slaughtering compounder (BS-06).
