Construction work on 3.6 megawatts (mw) Thore hydel power project in Chilas, Gilgit Baltistan has been completed, a private media outlet reported.
A spokesman of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) in an interview with radio Pakistan Gilgit said that the project has been completed at a cost of 800 million rupees in four years.
He said the transmission line from powerhouse to Chilas city has already been completed and electricity supply will be started from the first week of next month.
