GILGIT: The construction work on 16-Megawatt (MW) hydropower project at Naltar area of Gilgit is in progress.
A spokesman of the power department said that the project will be completed by June 2020 at a cost of Rs2.90 billion.
Heavy Mechanical Complex, Taxila has awarded the contract of the project to Click, a Chinese firm.
The project is being completed under public sector development programme of the federal government to overcome electricity shortage in Gilgit-Baltistan.
