Civil society members staged a protest outside the National Press Club (NPC) regarding Dr Atif Mian’s ‘forced resignation’ from the Economic Advisory Council (EAC).
Former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senator Farhatullah Babar said, “If the government remains on this place it will continue to be blackmailed by the religious elements.”
Members of the civil society spoke up against the removal of Dr Mian on the basis of his faith.
