Seventh grader raped in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A student of the seventh grade was sexually assaulted after being kidnapped on her way back home from school.

Two days later, the accused made an abortive attempt to kidnap Asma again and beat her up upon resistance.

On the complaint of the victim’s family, a case has been registered against the accused and the search for his arrest is underway.

According to the FIR registered in Thana Thikriwala on September 7, the accused, Sohail, kidnapped the girl and sexually assaulted her. He also threatened the girl of dire consequences if she informed anyone about the incident.

Asma’s mother has appealed to the government to provide her daughter with justice.
