Urging the PML-N not to compromise on matters of pride, the PTI’s candidate for President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Aitizaz Ahsan’s previous behaviour towards the PML-N has been unforgivable.

Speaking out regarding the ongoing discussions between the grand opposition alliance to nominate a join candidate for President, Dr Alvi encouraged the League to remember what the PTI had done with them in the recent PM election.

“As a fellow politician I would advise Mian Shehbaz not to accept Atizaz Ahsan’s candidature, I would also advise the PPP to stick to its guns and nominate Atizaz Ahsan in any case” he said speaking to members of the media in Karachi.

“No I am totally not just a little scared of what could happen in case there is a joint opposition candidate. I promise this is sincere advice” he went on to say.

“How could I be scared? I have braved dangerous waters in my political career, nothing can stop me or scare me” he said referring to that time he travelled the streets of Karachi in a boat while his aides walked next to him in the ankle depth water.

“The rate of ulterior motive in my statement is too damn low” he said in a lighter moment.

“I repeat, zero. Zilch. Nada. Neit” said the Presidential candidate.

“I just feel like this is a time where both parties should be the opposite of together.”
