Convicted former prime minister (PM) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif paid for 10 cakes in light of Independence Day celebrations in Adiala Jail and made a brief speech.
A jail official said, ” Three cakes weighing 10 pounds each were brought to the jail and the former PM paid for them.”
The former premier also made a brief speech after cutting a cake, the official added.
Nawaz’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law captain (r) Safdar were also present at the event.
