Punjab home department imposes ban on door-to-door collection of hides

The Punjab home department  has said that animal hides on Eidul Azha can only be collected a predesignated sites and has ordered a restriction on door-to-door collection, a local media outlet reported on Friday.

Any group or organisation seeking to collect hides must obtain a no objection certificate (NOC) and submit a detailed plan for collection.

All applications can be submitted to the deputy commissioner’s office, who can approve or reject it within three days.

Gujrat DC Tauseef Dilshad Kathana said that all banned groups, even those operating under a different name will not be granted an NOC.
