LHC bans display of banners, flexes on Mall Road exceeding standard size

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday banned the display of banners and flexes on Mall Road in Lahore exceeding the standard size.

Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of LHC was hearing the Mall Road encroachment case.

Pakistan Horticultural Authority (PHA) Additional Director General (DG) Naheed Gul appeared before the court.

The judge directed planting of more trees on Mall Road to restore the area into its original form. He said that the beauty of historical buildings has been concealed by placing flexes on them.

He asked the administration to be conscious of the happenings.

The hearing was adjourned till Tuesday as LHC summoned Chief Executive LESCO, PHA and Deputy Commissioner.
