Only four of 9 PTI-govt built universities recognised by HEC

PESHAWAR: Higher Education Commission (HEC) records show that only four of the nine universities claimed to have been built by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were ever built, a local media outlet reported on Thursday.

A senior KP Higher Education official said that there were only right public sector universities in KP in 2002. 11 universities were established by the Awami National Party (ANP) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) governments subsequently.

Because HEC data indicates there are only 23 universities at the present moment, it means that the PTI government only established four universities.
