ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced that it has information regarding immovable properties in the United Kingdom (UK) and would move against Pakistani citizens who own it.
An FBR statement read, “The FBR obtains information in respect of immovable properties owned by Pakistanis in the UK with the assistance of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and UK Tax Authorities.”
The FBR also stated that it was analysing the information so that further action could be taken.
Moreover, an FBR officer also said that the UK had shared information pertaining to only those persons that were not British citizens
