Workers of Karachi Port’s South Asia Terminal on Monday evening went on a strike, affecting the operations of the anchorage, a private media outlet reported.
According to reports, carriers and other fright-loaded ships anchored at the terminal have not been offloaded owing to the strike.
The protesters have said that they would call off the strike when the demands of the workers’ union are met and sacked employees are reinstated.
Reports further say that operations of the terminal being suspended since 7 pm has affected the entire port.
