Marvi Memon meets UN DSG, proposes BISP-experience based UN portal

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon held a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Amina J. Muhammad in New York.

Marvi proposed the concept aimed at institutionalisation of the Social Safety Nets (SSN) within UN system for social inclusion of vulnerable families. She also proposed to create a knowledge portal for the UN based on BISP experience.

The UN DSG welcomed the proposal to create a forum or collaboration mechanism in the UN.
