ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss various issues related to the privatisation of Pakistan Steel Mills and restructuring of PIACL.
The matter of the sale of KES Power Limited’s shares in K-Electric Limited to Shanghai Electric Power was also discussed in the meeting and it was decided that the National Security Certificate, subject to ratification by the federal cabinet, would be issued.
The committee also asked the sponsoring divisions to resubmit their proposals in a cohesive and comprehensive manner in light of the earlier decisions on the subject.
