Sindh govt bans Chinese salt

KARACHI: Sindh government on Wednesday announced the ban on selling of Chinese salt called ‘Ajinomoto’ due to its hazardous effects on human health.

In this regard, Sindh Home Ministry issued a formal notification.

Earlier, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) also banned Ajinomoto.

According to the notification, for the protection of human health, imports, manufacture and sale of Ajinomoto were banned. The ban would be applicable throughout Sindh under section 144.
