SIALKOT: A fire erupted in a sports good factory of the Kashmir road on Thursday, though no loss of life was reported.
According to Rescue 1122, a sports goods production factory of an exporter, Mehmoodul Hassan, caught fire due to fireworks in the Jinnah Town area of the city. As a result, export items and other valuables were reduced to ashes.
Rescue services rushed to the place of incident and extinguished the fire after hectic efforts.
Factory owners said that valuables worth Rs400,000 were burnt in the fire.
The police have started the investigation.
