LARKANA: Ratodero Senior Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ali paid a surprise visit to the Naudero Maternity Home on Thursday and found it locked.
He then ordered it to be opened and visited every room. He was told that the Maternity Home will soon be turned into a Cardiology Ward.
He found heaps of garbage inside the building and unused medicines in the Home’s medical store. On verification, it was revealed that most of the drugs were expired and unusable.
He immediately called the Larkana District Health Officer, but he did not attend the phone.
The judge ordered Naudero Medical Superintendent of Rural Health Dr Imdad to dump the expired medicines.
The civil judge also directed him to shift all medical equipment and other usable items to the RHC immediately so that the government funds could be properly utilized instead of being wasted.
