LAHORE: The Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) is all set to conduct the Cholistan Desert Rally on February 13 in the Cholistan Desert.
Speaking at a press conference, Cholistan Task Force Chairman Saud Majeed said that the arrangements for the rally have been completed. He said that this year along with the drivers from other countries, Pakistani women drivers will also participate in the rally.
He said that the TDCP is providing an excellent platform for the tourists to closely see the Cholistan desert that has a rich history and culture.
“You will have a brilliant opportunity to visit the city of nawabs, unique palaces and the museum in Bahawalpur. The desert tour will further feature cultural performances by local artists, fireworks, overnight stays in secure desert camps and camel as well as jeep safaris,” he said.
A large number of tourists are expected to visit Cholistan during the rally and to cater the tourists, the TDCP and other stakeholders have completed their homework.
A MoU between the sponsors and the TDCP was also signed at the press briefing.
Advisor to Chief Minister for Tourism Rai Haider Ali Khan Khral, TDCP Vice Chairman Imran Goraya, Secretary Tourism Aamir Jan, MD Tourism Ahmer Mallick, drivers and other stakeholders also attended the briefing.
