LAHORE: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is facing acute shortage of electricity meters that has left consumers in great trouble.
Thousands of applications for new connections and replacement of meters have been delayed due to nonavailability of meters and lack of effective policies.
LESCO Chief Executive Wajid Ali Kazim has ordered the company to respond to new connection requests within two weeks however the same cannot be done due to the shortage of electricity meters.
