KARACHI: The pre-admission test of medical colleges and universities, recently conducted by National Testing Service (NTS), was cancelled over paper leak reports on Saturday.
The test was cancelled on the recommendations of the enquiry committee, which was constituted by Sindh Health Department on October 26, and with the approval of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
The test will now be held within 15 days through Karachi Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS). DUHS has been advised to follow the notified standard operating procedures (SOPs) policy for conducting the pre-admission test in letter and spirit.
Widespread protests were held recently against NTS’ medical test. The chief minister had taken notice of this report and the authorities considered the protests and complaints against the NTS.
The protests have brought result in favour of the candidates who were worried about the test.
