MULTAN: Two bandits were killed while two of their accomplices managed to escape after a shootout within the limits of Multan’s Shams police station late Saturday night, police officials informed. As per police reports, two dacoits alleged of involvement in a number of criminal activities including attempted murder and robbery were detained.
Efforts to round up the detainees’ accomplices were underway, when they opened fire on the police team. In an ensuing encounter, both the suspects in police custody were killed, a police official stated adding that the deceased have been shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. However, the two accomplices managed to flee from the scene, the official apprised.
