ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has directed the authorities concerned to ensure timely provision of medicines to the patients suffering from rare diseases.
He was speaking at a briefing by Ministry of National Health Services regarding policy on manufacturing and assessment of the prices of life-saving drugs here on Wednesday. The president said that relevant stakeholders should be taken into confidence to increase the effectiveness of the policy.
He stressed for early establishment of WHO-approved Federal Drug Testing Laboratory, to verify the quality of medicines manufactured in Pakistan for enhancing exports of medicines.
