RAWALPINDI: A delegation of defence committees from the Senate and the National Assembly visited the General Headquarters on Monday, and held a session with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The delegation, led by Senator Abdul Qayyum, also laid a wreath at the Martyr’s monument.
The lawmakers were given a detailed briefing on the evolving security situation, including the situation on the country’s borders.
The session concluded with a resolve to continue the struggle against the menace of violent extremism through a synergetic national approach, based on the principles of collective potential and shared responsibility.
