ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader, Babar Awan has said that no one should stop Nawaz Sharif from celebrating his disqualification, if he so wants.
He was addressing the media in Islamabad on Tuesday. He further said that Sharif used to say that people protesting on the streets was tantamount to derailing democracy, and now he himself is resorting to the same tactics. Earlier, he also called Nawaz Sharif’s upcoming rally, a GT road rally.
Nawaz Sharif is all set to embark upon a ‘historic’ two-day rally from Islamabad to his hometown Lahore, on Wednesday.
A PTI lawyer, Usman Basra, has recently filed a petition at the Islamabad High Court, requesting that the rally should be banned on grounds of attempts to undermine the authority of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
