LAHORE: In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the ‘Dharna group’, instead of helping Pakistan join other countries towards the journey of progress, hindered its growth and development.
Sharif said that those claiming to make a new Pakistan gave nothing to the country except lockdowns and sit-ins.
The politics of those, raising slogans of ‘politics of change’, was confined to levelling baseless allegations, added the chief minister.
The CM also said that “these elements were without the spirit and zeal to serve the masses and the country,” and added that people had recognised the politics of hypocrisy and lies.
