Sindh govt working on legislation to minimise street crimes

KARACHI: Sindh home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has said that a legislation has been agreed upon based on the recommendations of the apex committee to curb street crime. He said this while addressing a press conference in Karachi on Monday.

Sohail Anwar Siyal also informed that Sindh government has also amended street crime laws. He said that the provincial government will contact judiciary regarding the legislation.

He also revealed that the government is also mulling installing trackers in new motorcycles to detect theft of motorbikes in the province.

The provincial minister further revealed that Pervaiz Chandio is being appointed as DIG Jails for improvement in the working of prisons in the province.
