FAISALABAD: The police department has made extraordinary arrangements to ensure tight security on Eid in the district.
Police Spokesman, Amir Waheed said that there would be more than 973 Eid congregations as 742 gatherings will be held in mosques and remaining congregations would be arranged at open places.
He said that more than 5,000 policemen along with five SPs, 13 DSPs, 15 Inspectors and 65 sub-inspectors had been deputed to ensure foolproof security in the district.
He said 12 teams of Elite Force and Quick Response Force would also perform their duties. He added that police had set up 112 pickets at all entry-exit and sensitive points of the city whereas special police force had been deputed at 25 points in the city.
He added that special security force had also been deputed in 12 graveyards and 20 parks whereas special squads will remain active.
