ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday has managed to finish his speech regarding the annual budget 2017-18—which had started two weeks ago and was delayed due to continuous protests by opposition—amid a walkout staged by opposition parties.
The opposition staged the walkout over the matter of telecasting speech of the opposition leader in National Assembly live on TV channels.
The opposition didn’t actively participate in the debate throughout the budget discussion, instead staged protests on various occasions.
The House continued with its proceedings, despite the absence of opposition.
