ISLAMABAD: Joint Investigation Team (JIT), formed to investigate the Panama Leaks case, has met today (Tuesday) to review the letter received from Qatari prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani.
The team will also submit a 15-day investigation report to Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Qatari Prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani has refused to appear before JIT for Panama case.
The impression of doubt has been created in JIT’s interrogation with these reservations.
According to Qatari sources, no witness can record the statements in such circumstances which appeared after the leaked photo of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son while he was being questioned by JIT at the Judicial Academy.
It should be recalled that Sharif family’s lawyer presented Qatari letter was presented before the Supreme Court’s five-member bench to probe Panama case. The document was dated Nov 5, 2016, from the prince who ruled Qatar from 2007 to 2013 as Prime Minister.
