LAHORE: Police carried out operations in various parts of Lahore on Monday, arresting at least 48 suspects wanted in various cases.
According to reports, these search operations were carried out on a tip-off in different localities of Shafiqabad, Faisal Town and Gulshan Ravi. A biometric device was also used for the identification of residents.
Police also arrested a drug peddler named Atif during a search operation in Faisal Town and recovered one kilogramme of drugs from his possession.
Police have also registered a case against the arrested.
On the other hand, police checked the identity documents of the residents during a house-to-house search in the areas and apprehended at least 47 suspects who failed to produce any identity document.
According to reports, the arrested persons were shifted to the police station for further investigation.
