African envoys in India have called the recent attacks on Nigerian students in New Delhi as xenophobic and racial.
In a statement, the African Heads of Mission said Indian authorities have failed to sufficiently condemn the attacks or take visible deterring measures.
Five Nigerian students were attacked by crowds, while another was beaten by a mob inside a shopping mall in Greater Noida, close to Delhi.
