Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri on Monday said that violence and extremism could be eliminated by seeking guidance from the teachings of Sufi saints.
He was addressing a seminar titled ‘Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz Tasawaf’ held here at the Data Darbar Complex on the occasion of the 805th annual urs of Hazrat Moeenuddin Chisti and Ajmeri.
The minister said that Sufi saints preached Islam through their actions.
Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Mufti Muhammad Ramazan Sialvi, Dr Noor Muhammad Awan and other prominent figures were also present on the occasion.
