RAWALPINDI: Around 416,024 children were administered polio drops in the two-day extended campaign which started in 73 union councils of the district on March 27.

Talking to media, Rawalpindi District Health Authority CEO Dr Fayyaz Butt said that campaign was extended as polio teams could not reach some areas.

Fayyaz informed that 1,048 mobile health teams, 224 area in-charges, and 84 medical officers participated in the drive to complete the task of immunisation while children were also vaccinated at 69 transit points of the city and no child could be left unattended, he added.
