Police demolish house of Mall Road blast facilitator

LAHORE: Police have demolished the house of Mall Road attack facilitator and arrested his father and brothers from Bajaur agency.

The suspect Anwar-ul-Haq has said in his statement that if he had any idea that the blast would cause immense loss he would have blown himself too.

The facilitator was living in the upper floor of a three-storey building in Shadbagh’s Bhagatpura area from three months.

Law enforcement agencies recovered two suicide jackets from his possession.

Anwar-ul-Haq was identified by his son who was standing in the street. He was living with his wife and four children in the house whereas suicide bomber Nasrullah was also given shelter.

Police also arrested the house owner and included him in the investigation of the case.

Initial investigation suggests that the owner had given the house on rent over Rs10,000 per month and had not registered the agreement in the police station.
