1650km of rural roads constructed, revamped

Punjab Minister for Communication and Works Malik Tanveer Aslam has said that the Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Road Programme is a revolutionary project for the construction and revamping of rural roads throughout Punjab.

1650km of rural roads were constructed brand new or revamped in the third phase of the programme at a cost of Rs 18 billion. Including the first two phases, a total of more than 5000km of rural roads have been completed at a cost of Rs 51 billion.

These roads have made possible the hassle-free transport of animals and agricultural goods, as well as easy access to health and educational facilities for the rural population.
