AC suspends arrest warrants of Sharjeel Memon in corruption references

Accountability Court (AC) has once again suspended the arrest warrants of former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon in mega corruption references.

The references pertaining to corruption of billion of rupees in Sindh information department came up for hearing Saturday in accountability court Karachi.

During the course of hearing Inam Akbar, Syed Munir and Munir Altaf Memon along with other suspects appeared in the court.

The court suspended the arrest warrants and stayed the proceedings for declaring Sharjeel Memon proclaimed offender following acceptance of his bail plea by Sindh High Court .

It is pertinent to mention here that Sharjeel Memon is in UAE these days and his counsel said that his client was seriously ill therefore, he could not come.

The court has adjourned the hearing of the case till January 31.
